Staying Alone in a Hotel

Tomorrow I will be staying alone in a hotel room, it will be a boring experience i guarantee. Watching television the whole day savoring each moment every corner, every drops of water, every knock on the door and many more. Yes, That's what will happen tomorrow, Staying in the hotel all the long. The hotel room supposedly for my two friends coming here in Baguio City for one day stay.

The plan really was for them to come up here and tour the city and the following day they will leave for Manila. When the idea came up, i volunteered to look for a Hotel for them to stay, i booked the reservation last December 25 using my Unionbank's EON card and also bought return tickets for Manila.

When they informed me that plan will not push through, I am bit sad. It was canceled and whatever the reason was i cannot undo my reservation anymore so i have no choice but to be at the hotel. Spend ever seconds and minutes there, it will be also a blessing in disguised because it will be my opportunity to meditate and think back of what I am going to do in the near future.

Maybe i will just invite my friends to join me in another adventure of staying in a hotel room all day long. Playing cards, watching television or even make a scandal (nah, another fantasy i have in mind), what will it be i don't know yet... I really don't know, staying alone in a hotel? What do you think i will do? :)

By the way, to those who want to go here in Baguio and want some hotel accommodation in advance, feel free to contact me at this number for more details... +639216169260. Happy New Year guys.

Rizal Day

Dr. Jose Rizal, Philippines National Hero, is celebrating his death anniversary this coming December 30, 2007 unlike with Andress Bonifacio Day where people celebrating or commemorating the birth of Bonifacio. Ever since elementary days, Jose Rizal's life and deeds were taught to every Filipino, inculcating his greatest in attaining the Independence.

There are some issues being tackle by some historians about Rizal being the Philippines' National Hero. Others believe that the rightful person to be called National Hero is Bonifacio himself. Some questioned the criteria used in placing Rizal into that state of recognition. Why and who chose Rizal for that title? It was the Americans who tagged Rizal to be the National Hero, not the Filipino people or Filipino leaders had given the opportunity to choose out own National Hero.

Others are sentimental about the issue who should be the rightful person(dead person actually) fitted for the title. We may have different beliefs about who is who?, but at the end of the day they both qualified for the title as well as the thousands Filipino people fighting for the freedom and Independence. We should be proud of the our accomplishments, we did celebrate the 100 years of Independence not just long ago. A symbol that we could proud of, while others are still fighting for their independence, we are now fighting for our mark or place in global economy.

A blessing and thanks to Rizal and his relatives who are living today with us. I thank you for the independence I am experiencing now.

Getting Cold here in Baguio

City of Pines, Baguio City now experiences very cold weather it started yesterday. The timing is perfect, Christmas is associated usually with cold weather and even snows if you are in states... Even if we don't have snow here in the Philippines, undoubtedly the cold is like of that having snow. Imagine walking down Session road full of jackets and scarf you can still feel the cold even feet could feel it.

Running around Burnham Lake early morning is not the same as before, you will not perspire notwithstanding the 5 minute run. Undeniably Baguio City is a place to visit during holidays for its cold weather aside from Tagatay of course.

Would you take a bath if you are bathing ice-cold water? If hell is a hot place that don't have to be associate with Baguio's bathing water is most the opposite. Despite this very chilling fact the resident can handle the coldness of the water running trough their bodies. The one whose not local here uses boiling water just to neutralized the coldness of the water. Kaw ba naman maligo sa yelo sige nga?
